The Augustinian Recollect Youth present “The audience of Leo XIV uncomplicated,” a weekly proposal that explains the Holy Father’s teachings in a simple and accessible way. Conceived especially for young people, the format also offers useful resources for parishes, communities, schools, and the entire Augustinian Recollect Family.
JAR International continues to expand its evangelizing presence in the digital environment with the premiere of “The audience of Leo XIV uncomplicated,” a new format intended to bring the Pope’s teachings closer to daily life.
The proposal will offer every Wednesday a clear and accessible explanation of the central message of the Holy Father’s general audience. Each installment will answer three fundamental questions: what the Pope has said, why it is important, and how it can illuminate the lives of those who receive his message.
With this initiative, JAR International seeks to translate the content of the pontifical catechesis into a close language, especially designed for young people. Without renouncing the depth of the Church’s teachings, the new space wants to facilitate their understanding and help discover their concrete implications for faith, personal relationships, the community, and Christian commitment.
A proposal for the entire Augustinian Recollect family
Although the format is born from the Augustinian Recollect Youth and has young people as its primary recipients, its contents can be utilized by the entire Augustinian Recollect family.
Religious, secular fraternities, contemplative nuns, parish communities, pastoral agents, educators, families, and formation groups will find in these publications a simple resource to know the Pope’s magisterium, initiate a community dialogue, or dedicate a moment to reflection and prayer.
The initiative thus responds to the identity of the JAR as a youth movement of the Order of Augustinian Recollects, characterized by interiority, community life, and mission. Its presence in the digital world aims to become a door of encounter and accompaniment for the restless hearts that seek God, as explained in the presentation of JAR International itself.
In addition to its weekly publication on the JAR International website, each installment will also be disseminated on social networks, especially on Instagram. The content will be accompanied by an infographic that will visually summarize the main ideas of the catechesis, facilitating its reading, dissemination, and use in formation meetings, youth groups, parishes, schools, and communities of the Augustinian Recollect Family.

“Uncomplicating” to bring the message to life
The general audience is the Pope’s weekly meeting with the faithful and pilgrims. In it, the Pontiff offers a catechesis on different aspects of faith and Christian life. JAR International presents this meeting as a great masterclass for the entire Church and proposes to “uncomplicate” his words to understand them better and bring them to life.
The first publication of the format is titled «The audience of Leo XIV uncomplicated: why is singing at Mass praying?». It summarizes the main ideas of the general audience of August 19, 2026, dedicated to sacred music within the cycle of catechesis on the conciliar constitution Sacrosanctum Concilium. The Holy See includes this intervention in its official archive of 2026 audiences.
Based on Saint Augustine’s expression “Singing is proper to one who loves,” the publication explains that music is not a simple adornment of the liturgical celebration. Singing at Mass is praying, joining one’s own voice to that of the community, and directing the heart together toward God. Music is at the service of faith, participation, and communion, not spectacle.
Evangelizing also in the digital continent
With “The audience of Leo XIV uncomplicated,” JAR International takes a new step in its evangelizing mission. The project takes advantage of the possibilities of digital language to build bridges between the Church’s magisterium and the questions, concerns, and experiences of daily life.
The new format invites not only to read the Pope’s words but also to share them, discuss them in community, and turn them into prayer and commitment. In this way, an initiative designed by the JAR youth opens as a service for the entire Augustinian Recollect family: a help to walk together, with one soul and one heart directed toward God.
