A new digital era for the whole family
The Prior General of the Augustinian Recollects, Friar Miguel Ángel Hernández, has officially announced through a circular the launch of Recoletos.org, the new global digital platform of the Order. The chosen date is not accidental: December 5, 2025, the day of the 437th anniversary of the Augustinian Recollection, will mark the beginning of a new stage in the online presence of the Augustinian Recollect family.
With this initiative, the Order takes a step forward in its vocation to evangelize the digital continent and to express, also online, the unity of the Augustinian charism. Inspired by the evangelical image of the miraculous catch of fish and with the slogan “One soul, one website”, the platform is presented as an instrument of communion, witness and shared mission.
A living network of communion
Recoletos.org will bring together on a single website the institutional pages of the four Provinces of the Order, the spaces of the Secular Fraternity, the Augustinian Recollect Youth, the contemplative nuns, and numerous thematic microsites with initiatives from the whole family. The new website will be available in Spanish, English, Portuguese and Italian, reflecting the diversity and universality of the charism.
In the words of the Prior General, this platform “articulates everything into a single communicative identity. Just as we share the same charism, we will have the same digital gateway. United we are stronger.”
An evangelizing, professional and synodal website
Recoletos.org is born with four fundamental characteristics:

It will also have accessibility functions and an automated news reader to facilitate the participation of all, without barriers.
An invitation to put out into the deep
Recoletos.org is not just a technical tool. As Friar Miguel Ángel Hernández affirms, “it is a true contemporary Sea of Galilee, where the Lord continues to ask us to cast our nets.” It is an invitation to put out into the deep with missionary audacity, “seeking hearts thirsting for God in every corner of the web”.
The Prior General has entrusted this initiative to Mary, Star of Evangelization, and to Saint Augustine, teacher of unity and love, encouraging all to collaborate actively in this new project that aims to be, truly, a digital home for all.
