A community gathered around faith

In Belém do Pará, the feast of Joseph of Nazareth once again became a space where faith becomes an encounter. Under a simple and deeply meaningful motto—“In the House of Saint Joseph, everyone has their place”—the parish community experienced days of intense participation, where prayer and shared life were naturally intertwined.

The novena, held from March 10 to 18, set the spiritual pace of the preparation. Each night, numerous faithful gathered not only to pray, but to prepare themselves inwardly for the solemnity, remembering that devotion is not an isolated act, but a path traveled in community.

Celebrating faith is also about living it together

On March 19, the patron saint’s solemnity, the parish experienced its most intense moment. The Eucharistic celebrations throughout the day were an expression of a living, diverse community gathered around faith.

Among the most significant moments was the traditional Procession of the Lilies, which passed through the neighborhood streets as a visible testimony of faith. It was not just a devotional gesture, but a way of making God present in the midst of daily life, taking faith beyond the temple.

But the celebration was not limited to the liturgical. The community also found in fraternity a privileged space to live its faith. Saint Joseph’s Dinner, concerts, and musical performances were moments where joy, sharing, and closeness strengthened the bonds among the faithful.

A Church where everyone has a place

The feast of Saint Joseph in Queluz is not just a repeating tradition, but an experience that is renewed every year. The chosen motto expresses it clearly: there is a place for every person within the community.

The festive lunch, the meetings, and the celebratory atmosphere that marked the entire day of March 19 reflect a Church that not only calls people together but welcomes them. A Church built on closeness, participation, and shared life.

Thus, the figure of Saint Joseph continues to inspire the community: a silent man, faithful guardian, and discreet presence, who teaches that faith is lived in the everyday, in caring for others, and in building a home where everyone can feel they belong.
