“My company’s solidarity initiative was born out of collaboration with the NGO La Esperanza and the Augustinian Recollects”

The ONCE Social Group in Navarra has awarded the 2025 Solidarity Prize to Conservas Pedro Luis, a company from Lodosa (Navarra) that has collaborated for years with the social programs of the Augustinian-Recollect missions.
Social Awards ONCE Navarre 2025.

At a gala held in Pamplona (Navarra, Spain), the company Conservas Pedro Luis was awarded for its solidarity and charitable activity, its social sensitivity, its long history of cooperation and its dedication to the social rights of the most disadvantaged.

Conservas Pedro Luis has demonstrated this firm social and environmental commitment through its ongoing support of numerous charitable projects, such as, currently, cancer research, the Food Bank, and Cáritas. Pedro Luis Antón, the company’s manager and founder, delivered a speech at the gala in which he explained the origins of his social awareness:

“I want to thank the ONCE Social Group for organizing these awards; the jury for selecting us and I also congratulate all the award winners along with me.

The solidarity campaign for Conservas Pedro Luis began thanks to the NGO La Esperanza de Lodosa and the Augustinian Recollects. My mother and aunt worked for this NGO for many years, and most of the funds raised went to Augustinian Recollect missions that we supported and which I myself was fortunate enough to visit with my aunt Corpus in places like Brazil and Sierra Leone.

We try to collaborate with most of the charitable projects that are proposed to us because we enjoy it and it makes us feel good. We will continue to collaborate and do our part for a better world.

All of this is thanks to the hard work and dedication of the entire team at Conservas Pedro Luis. I would like to dedicate this award to my mother, Corona, and my aunt, Corpus. They are the ones who instilled in us a sense of solidarity.

Our Christmas greeting always includes support for a charitable project and a poem or quote related to that project. Last Christmas, we collaborated on the construction of an advanced therapy room at La Paz Hospital in Madrid for childhood cancer research, and the quote we included in the greeting is by Maria Montessori.

I would like to end with this: ‘Sow good ideas in children, even if they don’t understand them. Time will take care of deciphering them in their understanding and making them blossom in their hearts.‘ Thank you.

Conservas Pedro Luis was awarded in the Business category. It was joined by winners from four other categories: ADONA, the Association for Altruistic Blood Donation and Apheresis in Navarre (Institutions and Entities); RevistaON from the Noticias Group (Media); Chuchín Ibáñez from the NGO Ayudar Cantando (Natural Person); and the Ombudsman of Navarra- Nafarroako Arartekoa (Public Administration).
