The Romareda High School of the Augustinian Recollects in Saragossa (population 727,000), the capital of Aragon, in Spain, celebrates its annual festivities this weekend and, with it, the closing of the celebration of its 50 years of existence.
A new report allows us to learn about this half-century story in which the Augustinian-Recollect Family and the Saragossa society have joined efforts, joys and determination to educate at least more than 6,000 members of their local society in these 50 years.
The report not only recalls this half-century history, but also takes a closer look at the reality of the educational mission, difficult and committed, full of challenges and joys, a source of constant progress and adaptation but with fixed values valid and necessary for all generations.
Romareda High School is aware of this inherited responsibility. Constantly evolving, like society itself, its ideals and principles remain the same as from its origins: quality, fidelity to the Augustinian Recollect charism, and the development of each student into a well-rounded, critical, compassionate, empathetic, committed, and globally engaged individual.
