The Recoletos de Ledo community held the Toma de Posesión of its Prior in a simple ceremony at the community chapel on March 5, 2026. The rite was presided over by Fr. Anthony Morillo, OAR, President of the Secretariat of Mission and Ministerial Apostolate.
In his reflection, Fr. Morillo emphasized the role of the Prior as “first among equals,” highlighting leadership rooted in fraternity and service within the religious community. He also clarified the distinction between the role of the Prior and that of the Parish Priest, stressing that the first apostolate of the Recollects is the religious community itself.
In the evening, the community gathered for a simple
celebration to welcome Fr. Edgar Tubio, OAR as a new member of the community
and to bid farewell to Fr. Ken Oliver Lao, OAR, who will be assigned to another
community.
