Inquietar launches its new weekly lectio divina, available every Thursday on its website and social media, with an Augustinian approach that invites meditation on the Word from interiority.
Lectio Divina Inquietar

The digital platform Inquietar strengthens its evangelisation offering with the launch of a new weekly lectio divina, which will be available every Thursday both on its website and on its social media profiles. This initiative seeks to bring the Word of God closer to the faithful in the digital spaces where they already are, offering an accessible, consistent spiritual journey in harmony with the Church’s tradition.

A proposal to prepare for Sunday through the Word

The lectio divina is an ancient spiritual practice that invites one to read, meditate, pray, and contemplate Sacred Scripture. With this new proposal, Inquietar offers each week a resource focused on the Sunday Gospel, structured in the four classic stages: lectio, meditatio, oratio, and contemplatio.

The content will be shared simultaneously on the website and on social media, thus facilitating access and its possible use both in personal prayer and in community settings. In this way, the aim is to accompany the faithful in their interior preparation for Sunday celebration, integrating faith into daily life. For now it is only available in Spanish, but in the coming months it will be available in our official languages.

A lectio divina with an Augustinian emphasis

Inquietar’s proposal has a distinctly Augustinian character, placing interiority at the centre as a privileged place of encounter with God. This is how Friar Jorge Contramaestre, a member of the Inquietar team and of the group responsible for this initiative, explains it:

«In the Augustinian lectio, the aim is to be able to meditate on the Sunday Word of God from Recollect interiority. You will find prayers and commentaries by Saint Augustine, meditations, and support to be able to share in community what God is saying to you in your heart».

This perspective draws on the spiritual richness of the Augustinian Recollect tradition, offering a prayerful reading of Scripture that connects with the interior and communal experience of faith.

Digital evangelisation at the service of spiritual life

In a context marked by speed and distraction, the new weekly lectio divina is presented as an invitation to pause, be silent, and listen to the voice of God. Presence on social media will also allow for greater interaction and dissemination, helping more people access and share this content.

The initiative is part of Inquietar’s commitment to a digital evangelisation that is not limited to informing, but proposes concrete paths of encounter with Christ. The weekly publication seeks to establish a steady spiritual rhythm, offering every Thursday a moment to reconnect with the Word.

An open invitation to interiority

With this new resource, Inquietar reaffirms its vocation to be a space for encounter, reflection, and spiritual growth in the digital sphere. The weekly lectio divina is intended for everyone: young people, pastoral workers, communities, and lay people who wish to deepen their relationship with God.

Every Thursday, the invitation is clear: open Scripture, allow oneself to be challenged, and welcome what God wishes to say in the heart. For, as Saint Augustine reminds us, it is in interiority that the Lord continues to speak.
