Over 100 registered pilgrims mobilize the Augustinian Recollect Family ahead of the Pope’s visit to Madrid

The Augustinian Recollect Family in Spain exceeds 100 registrants for the Pope's visit to Madrid from June 5 to 7, in a gathering that will bring together the entire Augustinian Family.

The upcoming visit of the Holy Father to Madrid, scheduled from June 5 to 7, is beginning to stir intense mobilization throughout the Augustinian Recollect Family in Spain. To date, over 100 registrations have been received, a figure that reflects the enthusiasm and commitment of religious and lay people in anticipation of this major ecclesial event.

Religious, secular fraternities, young people from JAR (Augustinian Recollect Youth), students, teachers, and lay people linked to the Order’s various ministries in Spain are called to participate in this gathering. It is not merely attendance at events with the Holy Father, but a true experience of communion.

A family gathering.

The event in Madrid will also be a privileged opportunity to strengthen the bonds that unite us as the Augustinian Recollect Family. However, the scope is even broader: this gathering will also be experienced as part of the Augustinian Family, sharing faith, spirituality, and fraternity with other branches that draw from the charism of Saint Augustine.

It will therefore be a space for fraternal encounter, ecclesial celebration, and common witness around the Successor of Peter, who convenes and confirms the entire People of God in faith.

United under one website: agustinosconelpapa.es

All information regarding participation, registration, and the development of this event can be followed through the website agustinosconelpapa.es, a common space created by the Spanish Augustinian Federation. This initiative has been promoted in collaboration with the Communication Offices of the Province of Saint John of Sahagún of the Order of Saint Augustine and the Communication Office of the General Curia of the Augustinian Recollects.

Additionally, the website recoletos.org will offer comprehensive coverage of the event, in the official languages of the order, collecting testimonies, highlights, and the impact of this experience on the life of the Augustinian Recollect Family.

The countdown has begun. Madrid is preparing to welcome the Pope, and the Augustinian Recollect Family is already responding with enthusiasm. We are children of Saint Augustine.
