There is an old entrance song for Mass, which many of us know, that says: “Prepare a new site”. Today, in the Order of Augustinian Recollects, we feel a bit like that. After months of work, shared decisions, hours of trial and error, we are opening this new digital home: Recoletos.org.
We do it with a desire that is simple and grand at the same time: that you feel at home from the first click.
We want this website to be like those houses where the door always remains ajar and the hallway light never goes out. Because in our Augustinian Recollect family, the sun never sets: we are present on five continents, and when the day ends in one place, it dawns in another. This is how we want this space to be: alive, inhabited, warm. A shared home.
A word from the Communication Office
Normally, in this section you will find articles signed by a specific person. But today we want to speak as a team. Behind Recoletos.org there are faces, voices, concrete hands: more than five religious and more than ten lay people, from various provinces and realities of the Order, who work in coordination from the General Curia to make this new house possible.
We are a human team. That means that we can make mistakes, that we will learn and improve, that this project will grow with you and with everyone. But it also means something deeper: that behind each news item, each photograph, each interview, there are people who believe in the mission of communicating the Gospel, with professionalism and with heart.
And if we are human, so are you who read us. That is why we want to look at you as what you are: a child of God, a brother, someone we can Samaritanize from this digital continent.
One soul, one web
The launch of Recoletos.org does not arise from improvisation, but from a synodal path, from a process, from a path together. We do not start from scratch, we carry on our shoulders more than twenty years of digital history of our provinces that are integrated here, respecting identities, trajectories and styles, but weaving a renewed communion. Together we make a new space for everyone.
Recoletos.org is:
- Evangelizing, because it was born to announce Christ.
- Synodal, because it convenes the entire family: Provinces, friars, nuns, religious, JAR, Secular Fraternities, communities, missions, schools, parishes.
- Professional, because we want to offer accessible, careful and quality content and services.
- Testimonial, because we want to reflect the real and concrete life of our religious family in the world.
It is, as the Prior General said, a contemporary Sea of Galilee, where the Lord continues to say to us: “Launch out into the deep”. And here we are, ready to cast our nets together.

We open this website with gratitude, with hope and with the awareness that this is only the beginning. We welcome you to this new digital home of the Augustinian Recollect family.
A place to get information, yes; a place to train, too; but above all, a place to feel accompanied.
